Gold Solo Mandolin

Small but Formidable

The Gold Solo Mandolin is a durable servo drive designed to deliver up to 2300 W of continuous power or 4600 W of peak power, and intelligence in a compact package.

As part of Elmo’s advanced Gold Line, the Gold Solo Mandolin operate from a DC power source in current, velocity, position and advanced position modes, in conjunction with a permanent-magnet synchronous brushless motor, DC brush motor, linear motor or voice coil. They are designed for use with any type of sinusoidal and trapezoidal commutation, with vector control.

Power to the Gold Solo Mandolin is provided by a 100 to 400 V Direct to Main DC source. The Gold Solo Mandolin can operate with the main power supply only (VP+ and VN-), with no need for a Control backup supply. If backup functionality is required for storing control parameters, a control power supply with a range of 18 to 40 V can be connected, providing maximum flexibility and optional backup functionality when needed.

The Gold Solo Mandolin can operate as a stand-alone device or as part of a multi-axis system in a distributed configuration on a real-time network. The drive is easily set up and tuned using the Elmo Application Studio (EASII) software tools, and is fully programmable with the Elmo motion control language.
