Support analog encoder readings with interpolation of up to x16384 (14-bits)

Used In:

  • High performance systems where high accuracy is needed
  • Analog Hall systems

Reading an analog encoder supports 1 V peak-to-peak at a frequency of up to 500 kHz:

To further enhance performance, the drive includes:

  • automatic correction of amplitude mismatch, phase mismatch and signal offset, and
  • protection for exceeding high or low limits of signal amplitude

When analog Hall devices are used, a special analog Hall commutation method can be used, in which each electrical feedback cycle contains a whole number of electrical motor cycles.

Design Features

  • Internal interpolation of up to 16384 times, or 14-bits
  • Automatic tuner calibrates and compensates for feedback inaccuracies
  • Analog Hall systems: automatic tuner finds the phase offset for commutation
